I went to Western Illinois and got a degree in English Ed. Who'd have thought? After graduation I joined the Peace Corps and served 27 months in Zimbabwe, where I met my husband, a fellow volunteer. I got a Master's degree in Education and taught both high school and college English until my first son was born. Will is almost 4 and Ryan is almost 2. Since then I have taught part time college and been a full time SAHM. My sister, Katherine, and I moved our families to North Carolina last summer so we could be closer. My parents just bought a house here, too and are retiring and preparing to make the move south. While I do miss the attitutes of the North, you just can't beat the weather down here. Looking forward to seeing many of you next month!

My favorite high school memory was:
Picking up attendance slips with Sherri Kunke eighth hour and carrying with us a black, blue and red pen. Those who wanted to "ditch" class would tell us ahead of time and we would cross off their name when we got the teacher's slip..and then bring the slips down to the office. If any of my kids would do something like that.. big trouble! Although, attendance is now done on the computer- :)

I graduated from Illinois State and recieved my degree in Special Education.  Mark and I got back together our last sememster of school and married in 1994. We then moved down to Dallas.  We have been here ever since and really love it.  We have 3 great kids... Meghan 12, Michelle 10, and Mason 2.  Yes 2! ( He was a wonderful surprise!)  I have been home now for 10 years and busier than ever.  I play on a competitive woman's tennis league and enjoy being involved with the kid's schools .  (Middle School, Elementary and pre-school- I am spread out pretty thin) Looking forward to seeing everybody!

After high school, I went to NIU and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education and minors in math and health ed.  I bought a house in Palatine and lived there and taught middle school until I met my husband Mike.  We were married in August, 1998, and then moved to the Lake Villa/Antioch area.  After teaching for 7 years, I became a middle school assistant principal, then principal.  3 1/2 years ago, Mike decided he wanted to be able to golf year round, and preferred to work in the warm weather, instead of the frigid Chicago winters (he is a Project Manager for a construction company), so we moved to Ocoee, FL (right outside Orlando).  Since you can't move to FL as a principal, I took a job as a high school assistant principal.  We are a "Model High School" in that all we do is based on research, specifically modeled after Rick DuFour's model (former principal and superintendent of Stevenson HS).  

Most importanly, we have three children: Stephen 8, Justin 5, and Kaitlyn 2.  Sadly, we have lost five babies prior to birth.  We focus on loving and enjoying every second with our three beautiful, active, wonderful children!

I was so sorry we were not able to attend the reunion.  We had Stephen's football game and Justin's baseball game that weekend and just couldn't fathom missing them.

I hope everyone has a good time at the reunion.  I won't be able to attend; but, maybe Kameron will throw a party at my house in my absence.

Since I won't be attending...I am very happily married to my wife Brandi.  We will celebrate four years this November.  We have one son, Brennan (3)--he's the best--and hope to have a second rug-rat in 2009.  Moving to VA shortly, but currently in NC and have lived in IL, AZ, SC, CA, TX, GA, and some foreign countries previously--miss Chicago dreadfully.

I am still friends with the crew I grew up with and went to high school with those twenty years ago--scary.
